A private Campsite peninsula beyond the macadamia orchard with lawn camping, shared ablutions, and Meru Safari Tents for Glamping.

Lush lawns, indigenous trees, and landscaped gardens open to lakeshore views. Braai facilities, picnic benches, a covered barbecue with plunge pool and deck, and a lakeshore fire-pit. Ample parking for 4x4s, camper vans, and larger vehicles. Access to Tented Lodge facilities and meals depends on occupancy. Please enquire in advance to arrange.

Glamping tent at Romelda Campsite

Glamping

Three ready-erected Meru Safari Tents offer a more comfortable camp. Each is furnished with a double bed, single bed, and a day bed that converts for a child under 12, plus small wardrobes, solar fans, and two small solar lights. Linen and towels are provided; guests use shared ablution facilities.

Pitch your own tent or arrive with a rooftop setup on serene lawned parkland. Shared ablutions include solar geyser showers, flushing toilets, and a washing-up and preparation area. Drinking water is replenished daily. Limited solar charging for phones and cameras (not batteries). Charcoal and firewood available for sale. No cellphone reception; WiFi is available.

Shared facilities make the peninsula easy to settle into: solar-heated showers, flushing toilets, a cleaning and wash-up area, braai spots around the Campsite, and a covered barbecue with seating, plunge pool, and panoramic deck.
